BLOCKED

An adventure into regular patterns.Unfortunately it is quite a dark painting and with a slightly glossy finish hard to photograph properly, but it still gives a fairly good impression.

Blueblocked (80 x 60) SOLD

Photos from a geostationary orbit or waterflows

Just received such a nice comment from Thomas (of course I remember you) on the photo that I have decided to go a little beyond the acrylics and into PhotoWorks too. Here are a couple I took in the Wehrgraben at the weekend.(Obviously from an impossibly high vantage point of several kilometres above the earth)

Miracles

There are two ways to live your life.
One is as though nothing is a miracle.
The other is as though everything is a miracle.

Panagia

Summer Revisited (SOLD)
(Acrylic on Canvas 100 x 80)

Found a poem that I like very much so just thought I would post it here.

Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly, because you tread on my dreams.

Quiet Americans

Forest ( Acrylic on canvas 120 x 40 )

Had some great peaceful days and late nights with quiet Americans and Austrians. A welcome breath of fresh air in my life and very needed, no necessity to talk, no stress, no compulsion.
Just great!

End of Term Almost

Apart from the small mountain of correcting to do and the posting of results etc this semester is over. Finished the last Diplomprüfung today.
Stopped smoking again and went jogging in the woods yesterday evening and felt great!

Here are some of the recent additions to my ever growing collection which I hope will be reduced following the exhibition on
28th of September in Sierning
.

Ellphish

Ellphish - (Acrylic on Canvas 80 x 60)

A departure from the usual stuff and the latest one to be almost finished as of yesterday.
Inspired by a few images I found somwhere and just called photos for Inspiration.
A much quieter and less energetic way of applying paint than my usual 'let me finish this entire pot and see how high I can build the paint' ( pretty wasteful ) but sometimes effective method .

Tried a silicon gun for extra relief ( sounds painful) on one canvas and stupidly forgot how difficult it is to get acrylic paint to stick to silicone !
I 'll put that one on later when I have some time.

Bugga

Just spent a lunch break adding the dimensions to the pictures so you can get a metric idea of their sizes. Sorry that the quality/composition of the photos is not that good. I will try to photograph them all again when I get an opportunity.
Typical, once back at work after a two week break the weather is the best it has been for ages - perfect snowboarding conditions !

The acrylic works

Well, I suppose it is now kind of official, my work has been made public- at least on a web page !!!.
Hope you like some of them at least. I am still very much at the experimental stage.
I will try to add a few lines of text every day time permitting and hopefully something a little more interesting .
Feel free to comment on anything that stirs or shakes you !
